Broad Peak Expedition PKBOOKING & TRAVEL TERMS
01

Bookings and confirmation

A booking becomes confirmed once Broad Peak Expedition PK has accepted the booking and the required advance payment has been received. The confirmed itinerary will outline the agreed services, payment schedule, inclusions, exclusions and applicable booking conditions.

02

Payments

Unless otherwise specified in your confirmed itinerary, a 50% advance payment is required to confirm a booking. The remaining balance must be paid according to the payment schedule communicated by Broad Peak Expedition PK. Certain permits, accommodation, transportation or expedition services may require different payment arrangements.

03

Client responsibilities

Guests are responsible for providing accurate travel information, maintaining valid travel documents, following reasonable instructions from guides and expedition leaders, respecting local laws and customs, and ensuring they are physically prepared for their selected journey.

04

High-altitude trekking and expeditions

Mountain trekking and expeditions involve inherent risks, including difficult terrain, high altitude, changing weather, glacier travel, river crossings, landslides and limited communication. Participants must understand these risks and follow the instructions of the expedition leadership throughout the journey.

05

Health and fitness

Clients are responsible for ensuring that they are physically and medically prepared for their selected tour, trek or expedition. Certain journeys require significant physical fitness, previous mountain experience or specialized skills. Our team may modify or end an activity when continuing presents a serious safety concern.

06

Changes to the itinerary

Mountain travel can be affected by weather, road conditions, permits, transportation schedules and local circumstances. We may make reasonable changes to routes, schedules, accommodation or activities when necessary for safety, operational or logistical reasons.

07

Weather and mountain conditions

Mountain conditions can change rapidly due to snowfall, rainfall, landslides, flooding, avalanches, road closures and other natural events. Delays or itinerary adjustments may become necessary, and safety will always take priority when such circumstances occur.

08

Permits and government requirements

Certain trekking and expedition routes require permits, registrations or approvals from relevant authorities. Where permit arrangements are included in your itinerary, we will coordinate the applicable process. Approval remains subject to the relevant government authorities.

09

Transportation and accommodation

Transportation and accommodation are arranged according to the confirmed itinerary. Changes may occasionally occur due to weather, road conditions, availability, operational requirements or circumstances beyond our control. Where necessary, a reasonably comparable alternative may be arranged.

10

Changes and cancellations by guests

Any changes or cancellations should be communicated in writing as early as possible. Applicable charges depend on the timing of the request, permits, accommodation, transportation, third-party commitments and other non-refundable costs associated with the booking.

11

Changes and cancellations by Broad Peak Expedition PK

We may postpone, modify, reroute or cancel a journey when circumstances make it impractical or unsafe to operate as planned. This may include severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, road closures, permit issues, transportation disruptions or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

12

Force majeure

Broad Peak Expedition PK is not responsible for delays or failure to provide services caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including extreme weather, natural disasters, floods, landslides, avalanches, government actions, strikes, transportation disruptions, pandemics or other unforeseen events.

13

Travel insurance

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance for every traveller. For trekking and mountaineering journeys, insurance should cover the activities and maximum altitude involved, as well as medical treatment, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, interruption and repatriation where applicable.

14

Personal belongings

Guests are responsible for their passports, valuables, electronic equipment, clothing, personal gear and other belongings throughout the journey. We recommend keeping important documents secure and obtaining appropriate insurance coverage for valuable possessions.

15

Responsible travel

Guests are expected to respect local communities, traditions, culture, wildlife, historical sites and the natural environment. We encourage responsible travel practices, including minimizing waste and avoiding unnecessary impact on the mountain environment.

16

Children and minors

Participants under the age of 18 may require parental or legal guardian consent and, depending on the journey, may need to travel with a responsible adult. Certain trekking and expedition activities may have additional age or participation requirements.

17

Third-party services

Our journeys may involve independent third-party providers such as hotels, transportation operators, permit services and other local partners. These providers may have their own terms and conditions, and their services remain subject to availability and operational circumstances.

18

Liability

We take reasonable steps to organize and operate our journeys with appropriate care and planning. However, travel and mountain activities involve inherent risks, and certain events may occur outside our reasonable control. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Broad Peak Expedition PK is not responsible for losses, delays, injuries or expenses resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

19

Complaints and concerns

If you experience an issue during your journey, please notify our team as soon as reasonably possible so that we have an opportunity to address it. Formal complaints should be submitted in writing with relevant details, and we will make reasonable efforts to review and respond appropriately.

20

Privacy

Personal information provided to Broad Peak Expedition PK is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Relevant information may be used and shared where reasonably necessary to communicate with you and arrange the travel services you have requested.
